MEET THE TEAM

Joe Bohachewski
Manager
Joe grew up on a progressive mixed grain and cow/calf operation in the Porcupine Plain area. He went on to the University of Saskatchewan where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture degree majoring in agronomy. He has since also received and maintained his status as a CCSC and Professional Agrologist. Joe came to Hetland Seeds from Bayer in the fall of 2011, and in 2015 he, Kayli and their two girls moved onto the Hetland farm. Joe gets excited about agronomy, and is committed to our independent ag retail and our customers here in the Naicam area!

Bill Hetland (and Bart)
Bill is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan with a degree in Agricultural Economics, and is an accredited seed grader. He served on the Saskatchewan Canola Growers for 6 years, including a term as President, as well as being chairman on the Nisa Appeals Board for 3 years, from which he gleaned an inside view of the canola industry worldwide and an idea of farm productivity nationwide. Hetland Seeds is currently involved in several global marketing initiatives and is helping farmers to maximize their returns.

Brent Lowes
Sales / MacGyver
Brent grew up in the Quill Lake area. He was involved in the family farm growing cereals, oilseeds, and pulses for just over 20 years. Brent attended the University of Saskatchewan receiving his diploma in agriculture. He and his wife Melody have a son and a daughter and the accompanying grey hairs.

Tanis Roberts
Office Administrator
Tanis was born in Kinistino, Sk., and spent the first ten years of her life on the family farm, north of Beatty, Sk.. The family then moved into Kinistino where she took all of her schooling. Tanis, along with her husband and children moved to the Naicam area in 1986. She started working with Hetland Seeds in 1989, which means she already has her first twenty five years with us under her belt. These years have earned her a wealth of knowledge of this business and have made her old friends with many of our customers. Tanis says that our customers are the reason that she comes to work each day.

Alfred Huiting
Processing Plant Manager
Alfred was born in the Netherlands. He and his wife Annelies moved to Alberta in 1999 where he worked for a custom farmer. In late 2009 they and their three sons moved to Watson and he started working for Hetland Seeds in February 2010. Alfred is dedicated to serving our customers in the best way possible

Elden Pierce
Farm Operations
Born and raised in the Naicam area, Elden has come full time to Hetland Seeds in January of 2015. As a teenager he worked road construction and was on the crew that built highway 349 and has been a truck driver ever since, spending several winters hauling logs in the Prince George, B.C. area. Elden works on the farm when needed and also helps on the seed cleaning side and enjoys being out in the field on the tractor or on the highway in our semi.
He is married to Glenda and they have 2 kids; Shannon and Niel and enjoys fishing, hunting and other outdoor activities. He is in search of a bad habit.

Darrell Porter
Seed Plant Operations
Daryl grew up in Lac Vert and he and his wife Lynnette live in the Naicam area. Their two daughters are out pursuing their dreams, and their son is soon to follow. Over the years Daryl has worked on local farms, oilfield construction, and spent ten years up at Key Lake hauling ore at the uranium mine. He is passionate about hunting and fishing.

Kim Robinson
Office Administration Assistant
Kim grew up on a family grain farm in the Leroy area. After graduation she moved to Regina where she met Tim, her future husband. Tim bought grain for Agricore which took them to Whitewood, Brandon, and Naicam, which they decided to call home. Kim worked for many years at the local Pharmsave, and then ran a day care while their two children were small. Kim and Tim are very involved in our local community, and enjoy lake life!
